About the Role
This is an incredible opportunity for a talented, well-rounded and results-driven student or graduate who is looking for an opportunity to build a stellar portfolio while working with a fun, international team and the global startups who we support. You’ll get the opportunity to learn more about the consumer IoT (Internet of Things) market with a rapidly growing global accelerator and platform based in Hong Kong with offices in Shenzhen and Guangzhou.
The website developer intern will get an opportunity to work on a wide range of websites for Brinc and potentially the startups in our portfolio. The position will be offered to suitable candidate for a 3-month period on full-time or part-time non-paid basis.
This internship requires minimum of 3 work days per week where the work schedule is also negotiable. A small transport stipend is potentially available.
Applicants should expect to have regular exposure to business stakeholders and executive management, as well as the authority and scope to apply your expertise to many interesting technical problems.
Candidates must have a strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
The position requires constant communication with colleagues.
- Diploma or above in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines
- At least 2 year experience in website design/development
- Solid experience in PHP and MySQL
- Knowledge of CSS, XHTML, AJAX
- Be creative, self-motivated, proactive and willing to learn
- Strong passion and sensitive to the trend of web site/application technology
- Good command of English & Cantonese
- Knowledge of Wireframing tools
- Fluency in English is essential – written and verbal; proficiency in Chinese is a bonus
